We will also alert learners when their connection is interrupted, and promptly ask them to reconnect so that they don't lose any valuable tracking data.
We're extremely excited to announce the Beta release of our AI assistant for creating course content!
While in Beta, we'll be gathering insights on usage, and feedback from our users before introducing additional features.
While in Beta, the AI assistant will allow you to:
This functionality is accessible to any user with the permission to share a course or catalog
In many cases customers looking to delete large numbers of users are looking to delete users based off their activity status — that is, they are looking to purge those users who have either never logged in, or haven't been active over a period of time.
In light of this, we've moved the User activity report to the Users page, and create a new tab called ‘Activity’. The 'Activity' tab lists every user in the platform, and you can filter them by status; Active, Inactive, or Never logged in. For both the Active, and Inactive statues, you can also select a time period.
When inviting a learner to a catalog by email, they will receive an email that includes the workspace name, the name of the catalog, and a button that links to the catalog . On clicking the link, they’ll be sent directly to the catalog where they can browse, and self-enroll into the courses they choose.
If you’ve been hesitant to share enrollment links due to the lack of access restrictions, you’ll be pleased to know that catalogs solve that problem with a new access setting that restricts access to ‘Only invited learners’. Now you can share courses for self-enrollment with the confidence that only the learners you choose can access them.
To restrict access to only invited learners, select the ‘Only invited learners’ option from the dropdown menu under access settings.
If you’re on our Premium plan, you’ll be able to customize the invitation email sent to learners invited to a catalog.
From the navigation sidebar, select the setting menu, and click ‘Customize’. Navigate to the ‘Enrollment emails’ tab, then select the ‘Catalog invitation’ option.
If your learners are forgetting how to get back to your workspace after self-enrolling, you’ll be happy to know that we’ve introduced a confirmation email that gets sent to a learner when they’ve self-enrolled into a course.
The confirmation email includes the name of your workspace, the name of the course, and link to the course they enrolled in.
If you want to disable enrollment emails, go to Workspace settings > Course notifications screen and switch the ‘They are enrolled in a new course’ setting to OFF.
If you’re on our Premium plan you can customise the confirmation email sent to learners who self-enrol from the Customize page.
From the navigation sidebar, select the setting menu and click ‘Customize’. Navigate to the ‘Enrollment emails’ tab, then select the ‘Self-enrolled’ option.
Included in this update is an email that is sent to trainers each time a learner self-enrols into a course via an enrollment link or catalog.
Included in this email message is the name of the learner and the course they enrolled into.
To disable this email, go to Workspace settings > Course notifications and adjust the settings for the Trainer notification that gets sent when Learners self-enroll into a course.
Until now, it hasn’t been clear which workspace trainer will appear on the course overview, as previously you needed to add a Group trainer to a group, otherwise no trainer would display here.
Now you are able to choose a specific trainer to always appear on the course overview screen. If you want to keep using Group trainers, leave this set to automatic.
Note, if you don’t want any of your trainers to appear here, use the visibility settings to hide this page element altogether.
]]>The addition of support for Vimeo and YouTube videos is a welcome improvement to the enforce video completion feature. Prior to this release, this functionality was limited to uploaded videos only.
Enforce video completion is only available on Premium plans. To find our more about this feature, check out the original release post here.
]]>Catalogs let you create unique landing pages that allow learners to browse and self-enroll into a selection of courses curated by you!
Catalogs has been released in Beta so please send us your feedback to help us make it the best it can be!
For detailed information on how to use catalogs, take a look at the Catalogs article on our help centre.
]]>Collapsable sidebar
The sidebar can be collapsed to provide more horizontal space. Coassemble remembers your choice, so if you close it, the next time you visit it will remain closed.
Create section
We’ve added a new Create section that contains both Courses, and Catalogs. The course page will remain the default screen, so every time you enter your Coassemble workspace, you’ll still land on the courses page.
Chat / Support button
Our chat support button has now moved into the sidebar from the bottom-right-hand-corner of the page.
Page header
We’ve made a significant cosmetic change to the page header in order to provide more vertical space on most pages in your Coassemble workspace.
Part of this change required us to move the Grade button, and the Learn button (only visible if you are enrolled in a course), to the sidebar.
Every Branching scenario requires a start scene. The start scene will always be the first scene in your scenario. Prior to this release it was possible to reorder the scenes which would sometimes result in your start scene being out of order. We've fixed this issue by ensuring that the first scene always remains as the start scene.
Every Branching scenario requires at least one end scene, but can contain as many as you like. All scene types except for Feedback popups can be set as an end scene.
The main focus for this release was to make sure our users don't publish a Branching scenario without setting an end scene. This is important because an end scene marks the screen as complete, and without one, learners will not be able to complete the course.
To make it difficult to do this, we display a warning message that persists until you add your end scene.
In addition we've made it easier to set an end scene by displaying the controls in a more prominent position.
We've also included helpful visual aids to indicate where each end scene resides in your scenes list.
]]>You'll notice while using the new grading screen that it feels a lot more performant. By rebuilding the front-end, we've been able to provide noticeable performance improvements.
In addition, we've implemented familiar controls and components that will provide our users with a more cohesive experience across the application.
Legacy grading screen
Although there have been no functionality changes with this release, we've retained the legacy grading screen so that you can switch back to it if you choose. Simply click the 'Switch to legacy grading' button and you'll be sent back to the old experience.
Included in the update is the following additional data points:
Other improvements include:
By default, the user displayed on an email invite is the user who triggered the invitation by inviting a learner to a course, or a trainer to the workspace. You can leave as is, or choose another option.
These options include:
You can now choose to preview either the draft or published version of the course. A course will have a draft version if you have unpublished changes to any of the course content e.g. lesson or quizzes. The published version of the course is the version that learners can see.
By default when previewing a course, all courses settings that can inhibit your ability to properly preview a course have been disabled. These settings include;
If you need to test the course with the settings active, simply enable them by clicking the toggle next to each setting.
As part of this release we’ve introduced the ability to preview how your course will appear on different devices. We’ve included 3 options for you to test:
For those of you who’ve found yourself deleting old users one-by-one, you’ll be pleased to know that you can now batch delete users.
Try it yourself by heading over to the Users page and select a number of learners from the learners tab by clicking over the table row and checking the checkbox next to their name. As you do this, you’ll see the batch toolbar appear from the bottom of the page that now includes Deactivate and Delete buttons.
As part of GDPR Coassemble now permanently deletes all personal identifying information (PII) from the database. If you choose to delete users from your workspace (where your workspace is the only workspace they are a member of), their PII will be unrecoverable, along with all of their results and progress. You will not be able to reverse this action.
If any of your users is a member of another workspace, their PII will remain until they’ve been removed from all workspaces.
If you need to keep a learner's records, but want to remove their access to your workspace, you should deactivate them rather than delete them. A deactivated user does not count towards your user count, and importantly, their user records are stored. You can reactivate a user at any time, and this will restore enrollments, course progress, and user permissions.
]]>If you are currently issuing certificates for every course in your workspace, you’ll be happy to know that you can now set the issuing of certificates to ON by default. By doing this, every new course you create will automatically be set to issue certificates.
The global configuration can be overridden for each individual course, so if there are some courses that you don’t want to use them, you can set them to OFF by clicking the Override button from the Finish screen inside your course, and then unchecking the ‘Issue certificate’ button.
Note that the issuing of certificates is set to ON by default.
You can configure a global Certificate design that can be applied to all courses of your courses. To set this up, head over to the Customize > Certificate design tab. From here, you can set up your certificate, and it will be used as the default course certificate for every new course you create. If you make any changes, these changes will be reflected in any course that is using the global design.
Once again, if you want to create a unique certificate design for a particular course, you can do this for each individual course by clicking the override button from the certificate designer inside a course.
As a trainer, you can tailor the course finish experience for your learners using the 'Finish Screen' tab inside a course. Although you may have used the same message for every course, you were required to set it up every time. With this release, you can set it up once, and it will be applied to all new courses going forward.
You can tailor the finish experience to suit each possible finish state on your course. Depending on what modules you have in your course, there are 3 possible finish states:
You can override the global configuration on a course-by-course basis if you want by clicking the ‘Override’ button from the Finish screen inside a course.
In addition to all of these great changes, we've updated the finish screen editor inside the course builder to include inline editing.
To star a course, learners can click the star icon in the top-right-hand corner of the course card. Starring the course pins it to the top of the dashboard. Learners can star as many courses as they like.
In light of this, we've changed the name of the screen to Blank screen and have removed the image placeholder so that you don't feel inclined to use just an image. You can still add images with the text editor, and align and resize them any way you like.
So that there was no reduction in functionality for this screen, we've added support for captions inside our text editor. Now you can add captions to images any where you add an image using our text editor.
This change will not effect any of your existing Text with Image screens. Any images you added previously will remain in place.
]]>The learner Finish screen and Results screen have been combined to form a single, easy to read summary of the course progress and results, plus detailed analytics of their performance. From the same screen, learners can also view and share their certificates to Linkedin.
Prior to this release, the Finish screen and Results screens had to be accessed from two seperate pages. Now this single screen can be accessed at the end of a finished course, and from the learner dashboard.
We decided to provide learners with a summary of their results and progress on the finish screen so that they can:
Providing access to the this screen from the learner dashboard, gives learners the ability to:
When clicked, the certificate is revealed with a number of options that allow learners to download a printable version of the certificate, make a copy of their public URL, or add it to their profile on Linkedin under ‘Licenses & Certifications’.
When adding to Linkedin, learners share a link to a public URL where the certificate can be accessed by anyone. This public link displays a unique Credential ID that is generated for every certificate issued in Coassemble.
The size of the cards has been reduced significantly so that learners can see more courses without having to scroll.
To summarise, the new learner cards have the following additions:
For most places you upload an image in Coassemble, there are no specific rules about what size or ratio your image needs to be. Because of this, you don't need to crop your images, simply add an image, and it will fill or fit the image container.
To provide more control, we've included the ability to position images within the image container. This allows you to focus on a particular part of the image, without having to crop the it which can degrade the image.
This functionality has been added to the following screens:
We've gradually been adding to our Course template library with a whole range of templates you can use as building blocks to create beautiful courses for your organisation.
Select from a range of categories including:
Watch this space as we continue to deliver high quality templates you can use as a framework for your next masterpiece!
Finally you can display Folders on the learner dashboard! This new opt-in feature, when switched ON, will allow learners to filter their courses by folder.
To use this feature, simply head over to the Workspace settings page and select the Learner dashboard tab. Switching the 'Allow learners to filter by folder' option ON will make all folders visible to learners. If there are some folders you want hidden, you can choose to display only specific folders.
Note: hiding folders won’t hide courses associated with those folders.
We’ve replaced the four page tabs; All courses, To do, In progress, and Completed with three new filters — To do, In progress, and Complete.
These 3 filters do the same job as the four tabs, but provide a better experience for your learners learners as they won’t have to switch between the four tabs, and won’t be forced to view all courses, regardless of their status when they come to the dashboard. By default To do and In progress filters are selected.
]]>If you have multiple lessons inside your course, you'll notice a new 'Move screen' option in the context menu for each screen. Simply select this option and choose the lesson you want to the screen moved to.
Note, that you'll only be able to move screens to lessons that exist inside the same course.
The Tap to reveal screen encourages your learners to interact with the screen to discover more information about a topic by tapping buttons that can be customized using images, colors and labels.
5 screens have been merged to create the new Tap to reveal screen; Image click, Showcase, Image+, Icon hover, and Side slide.
If you’ve used these screens before, you would have noticed how similar they were. The only difference between them being the interactions, and the layout options available for each. All of them allowed a title, an image, and a description, and in each case the learner needed to ‘Tap to reveal’ the description.
Because of these similarities, we were able to combine them into a single screen type that offered additional layout options. Below is a diagram that demonstrates how they have been combined.
What happens to my existing screens?
All of your existing screens will appear exactly as they had prior to this release. The only noticeable differences will be inside the course creator. The first difference is that they will all be called Tap to reveal screens. The second is related to the Side slide screen. As the new screen type doesn’t allow for circular images, the side slide screen will appear as a legacy version that will remain in that state until it has been edited. Once it has been edited, it will be converted to the new format.
The Process screen allows you to display images and descriptions in a gallery format. Good for breaking down a process into smaller steps.
2 screens have been merged to create the Process screen; Steps and Flowchart.
Again, if you’ve used these screens you would have noticed how similar they were. In light of this, it made perfect sense to combine both screens to create a new supercharged screen type that combined all of the layout options of the two former screens. Below is a diagram that demonstrates how they have been combined.
What happens to my existing screens?
Your existing screens appear exactly as they had prior to this release. The only noticeable difference will be inside the course creator, where they will now be labelled Process screens.
The Springy list screen allows you to display a list of labels that when clicked will reveal more information. Good for things like listing your company values with a short description.
As you may already be aware, the Springy list screen is in fact an existing screen. In this case, we’ve merged the Springy list screen and Text pop screens into a new screen with the same name. These 2 screens provided virtually the same functionality, the key difference being that Text pop allowed you to add an image to the button background.
What happens to my existing screens?
Again, both the Springy list and Text pop screens will appear exactly as they did prior to this release, the main difference being the change of name. If you had created Text pop screens that had labels set to appear on hover, or to appear in front of the image, these screens will appear as legacy screens that will remain in that state until it they have been edited. Once it has been edited, they will be converted to the new format.
]]>If you're subscribed to one of our Premium plans, you'll now be able to force learners to watch the entire video before the screen is marked as complete.
To use this feature, simply toggle the 'Enforce completion' option ON after you've uploaded your video. You can add this retrospectively by clicking the edit button on each video you want to use this feature for.
Learners who are required to watch an entire video will know they've completed the video once the progress indicator below the video becomes solid. See the example in the image below:
Yes, you can now add custom thumbnails to any video you've uploaded! This feature is available on all plans.
If you have Progress markers toggled on for your workspace, your learners will now be required to view each slide in the video screen. So if you have multiple videos in the screen, then they must view each slide. Note that this doesn't force them to watch the entire video, just make sure that they've visited each slide.
As part of this release, we've added all of the UI improvements that we added to the Slideshow screen to the video screen. These include:
New image controls that allow you to make images fit or fill the allocated space for images. You can fine-tune the fitting even further with the ability to reposition the image to appear exactly as you want it.
You asked, we listened! Gone is the compulsory black background for image titles and descriptions. This has been replaced with a standard white background for text, with the ability to hide both the Title and Description if needed.
The description text area now grows infinitely, instead of being contained, allowing you to add as much text as you like. In light of this we were able to include the addition of our rich text editor for descriptions.
The image thumbnails have been replaced with our standard navigation indicators with image previews that appear when you hover over each item.
This change has also allowed us to include our SmartColor™ technology that uses your workspace theme color to create the perfect colour scheme!
One of the most significant changes to this screen is the introduction of progress markers. If you have Progress markers switched on for your workspace, your learners will now be forced to view every image in order for the course to be marked as complete.
To help reorder your slides we have now added images to the reorder list.
To solve this problem we’ve introduced a new image field specifically for the course card. This means you can now add a completely different image for the course card and course overview screens. The purpose each image is outlined below:
For existing courses, until you add a new course card image, your course cards and overview screens will continue to share the same image.
To accomodate this change, we need to make some changes to the placement of controls on the cards. Now you can access key controls like share, preview, and learners from the bottom of the card. In addition, we’ll be displaying the name of the folder the course belongs to on the card.
The impetus for this change was to improve the experience of navigation a course on mobile for both trainers and learners.
Now accessing the navigation on the sidebar feels seamless — no abrupt page loads or forgetting where you're up to.
Customizable sidebar color
While we were at it, we thought we'd allow our users to customize the color of the sidebar.
To change the color of your sidebar, go to the customize page where you'll find a new section called ‘Appearance’. This section contains everything pertaining to your color scheme and logos, including the new 'Course sidebar' feature.
Group enollment links can be accessed from the add learner pop-up on either the Users page > Groups tab, or from the Users page > group profile.
Preview links allow anyone with the link to preview the course anonymously. As course progress isn't tracked, there is no need for the recipient to create an account. The most common use-case for a preview link is sharing a course with a colleague for review.
To get a preview link, click the share button associated with any course on either the dashboard, or within the course itself, then click the 'Copy' button to copy the link to your clipboard.
If you want to restrict access to a preview link with a password, you can configure these from the settings menu.
Note: Like published courses, preview links only show published changes.
Learners can be added to your workspace without being enrolled. In this case, their status will appear as 'Pending'.
Learners who are added to your workspace, and enrolled into a course, but have not yet completed their profile will appear with a status of 'Invited'.
Learners who are enrolled in a course, and have completed their profiles will appear with a status of 'Active'.
Prior to this release, when adding new learners to your workspace, they would appear as 'New learner' in the learners list until they had completed their profiles. To solve this problem, we've added a new screen that allows you to add the names of each learner before confirming their creation and/or enrollment.
Note that this can only be done when creating new learners from the 'Users' page, and only before the user has been created. You will not be able to edit their names after they are created.
]]>We've just released some major improvements to the learner creation and enrollment process to address inconsistencies in the user interface and terminology used across the platform.
We've made a number of refinements to the terminology used when adding and enrolling new users in the platform.
Share is a generic term used when sharing a course. There are a number of specific ways that a course can be shared as outlined below.
Enroll or Enrollment describes a method of sharing a course that requires a learner to have an active Coassemble account. If a learner is enrolled into a course, their progress will be tracked and can be viewed in a report.
Enrolling via email, with a link, or with an embed code will result in an active learner in your workspace.
Learners can be added to a group, and if that group has courses added to it, the learner will be enrolled into those courses.
Sharing a course with a preview link allows you to share a course without requiring the recipient to create an account as course progress is not tracked. The most common use-case for a preview link is sharing a course with a colleague for review.
Key changes to the functionality are as follows:
Everybody learns differently, and Flashcards have been proven to be an effective way to prompt your learners' memories using visual or verbal cues.
As the Case study screen already provided you the ability to create flip cards, we thought it made sense to extend on this idea to create a fully formed flashcard maker screen.
Watch the video below to see how you can create your very own flashcards:
What happens to my existing Case study screens?
If you had been using the old Case study screen, you don't have to worry because they'll appear exactly as they do now. If you want to upgrade to the new design, then all you have to do is go in and edit your case study screens.
]]>This message can be set globally from the workspace settings page by workspace administrators.
The Match category screen is designed to test your learners ability to categorize items / concepts / themes on any topic.
Watch the video below to find out how to create your very own Match Category screen.
Now when a team member clicks on a Share link, and they are logged into your Identity Provider (IDP), they will automatically be enrolled into the associated course.
Enforcing your users to authenticate with OAuth provides the perfect security for your shared courses because only the members of your organisation will be able to access them. Note, to enforce this, you will need to have the 'Force users to use OAuth to authenticate' setting switched ON.
This feature is only available on the Premium plan.
]]>Check out the how-to-video below to see how it works.
What is a Branching scenario?
If you haven't used our Branching scenario screen before, you're probably wondering what it is..
A branching or branched scenario, is very much like a 'choose your own adventure' story. As a learner, I am presented with a scenario that challenges me by requiring me to make a decision. Once I’ve made a decision, I am presented with a consequence — which in turn provides me more challenges and choices. With each decision made, the story unfolds in an unpredictable way until I finally reach an outcome which could be one of many.
What's changed?
Other than minor stylistic changes to the way the screen appears for learners, the most significant change has been made to the way you build a branching scenario. Prior to this release, the Branching scenario builder was very different to every other screen type. With this release, we've incorporated UI patterns that you will be familiar with, meaning you can spend less time learning, and more time creating.
]]>To permanently delete a course, go to the 'Archived courses' filter on the dashboard, and choose the delete option on the course you want to delete.
Happy deleting!!
How does it work?
Simply click into any editable text area, and the screen options will be replaced by the text editor options. Simples!
]]>The Label image challenge is perfect for testing the knowledge of your learners on any number of subjects.
This screen allows you to present your learners with an image, and labels that need to be dragged to the correct positions. If a learner answers correctly, they will receive a ‘correct’ feedback popup, and be able to move onto the next screen. If a learner answers incorrectly, they will receive an ‘incorrect’ feedback pop, and a prompt to retry.
]]>Haven't used the Form challenge before?
As you'd expect, the Form challenge allows you to use a number of form elements to create a challenge for your learners. A challenge is a screen that must be completed by the learner.
State your question with a description, or label a form element to support a series of questions that can be created using a variation of Radio buttons, Dropdown select options, and text inputs.
Advanced settings
From the advanced settings menu you can re-order the elements anyway you like. You can also switch on 'Lock step' to force learners to answer each question sequentially.
]]>The Cover screen not only serves the purpose of the old Finish screen, it can also be used at the start of a lesson or at the start of a topic. In fact, you can use it anywhere you feel you want to introduce a new idea.
We've included a range of options that allow you to make these screens really stand out.
There are a number of new elements included with this screen that can be turned on or off to best suit your needs. These optional elements include:
Optional time estimate: give your learners an idea of how long this section could take to complete.
Optional description: If you're using the Cover screen as a title screen, you may not need a description.
Optional button: Display a button with customisable text and navigation options. You can have your button navigate to the next screen (default), a custom URL, or another module in your course.
Align text left, right, or centred. Use additional image options to align images to the left, right, or as a background image.
Use animated gifs as a background image to create spectacular layouts that will delight your learners.
When setting the background color, the text elements and button colors change dynamically so that they are readable no matter if you have a light or dark background.
If you've used the old finish screen, you don't need to worry, we haven't changed the layouts — they will look exactly as you left them.
If you want to update them to the new layout, all you need to do is go to your screen in the course builder and click the 'Edit to update' button. Note, once you've changed the layout, there is no turning back. But trust us, you won't want to once you've tried it!
]]>In addition, you can now choose to hide certain columns from the report so you can focus on the information that matters most to you.
]]>The new options toolbar has been added to the Course overview screen with some handy new options that allow you to hide both the 'Trainer', and the 'Time estimate' fields from the Course overview.
Key features such as the 'Label' and 'SmartColor™' options have been moved from the advanced settings menu to the new options toolbar making it easier than ever to configure each screen.
SmartColor™ options
You can now override the SmartColor™ base colour with the click of a button.
Label options
Label options for image-based interactive screens have also been moved, allowing you to quickly see which option best suits your screen.

]]>There are three groups of screens that you can switch between, these include:
Image based interactive screens
Non-image based interactive screens
Hotspot screens
Course settings have been moved to a new global location that can be accessed from the course builder and the trainer dashboard. Included in this update is the ability to create global course completion settings that can be overridden per group.
From the new course settings modal, you can access all of the course settings related to the course, including those that previously needed to be accessed from each individual group.
Global completion settings
Apart from the fact that you can now access course settings from the trainer dashboard, the best thing about this update is that you can now create global completion settings for the course. Now, instead of creating settings for each individual group, you can set completion settings globally, which are in-turn inherited by every group. If you do have one group that you want set up differently, you just need to override the individual settings for that group.
Note that existing group settings will remain intact and will appear as overrides.
]]>To insert a table, audio, or add embeddable content, simply place your cursor where you want to insert it, and select the associated icon from the toolbar.
]]>As most of our lesson screens no longer force you to crop an image to a particular size, your uploaded images now appear immediately on the screen, skipping the confirmation step altogether.
If you do want to edit your image, just click the edit button that appears as you hover over it.
When adding an image to a lesson screen, you'll notice that the search results now display images related to the title of the screen you're adding the image to. For example, if you're working on a screen with a title of 'Dog training', Coassemble will automatically search for images relevant to dog training.
]]>When you add a new item on any of the aforementioned screens, a color will automatically be chosen to fill the background of the item. The color chosen will be based off your theme, meaning that if you don't use images, your screen will still look great, and conform with your workspace theme and brand.
Although we still recommend you add images to each item, the addition of background color extends the use-case for each of these screen types. What's more, when using transparent images like icons, instead of getting an ugly grey background, your transparent icons will pop with colors that match your brand.
If you don't like the colors the system has chosen for you, don't worry, you can change each individual color to be whatever you want.
Will this change my existing screens?
Unless your images are transparent, existing screens will look exactly the same because solid images will always cover the background fill.
Along with the new name comes a bunch of new options to make it more useful across a whole range of use cases.
To expand the use cases for the Accordion screen, we’ve added a number of new icon options that are displayed next to the item title. Prior to this release, users were forced to use it for displaying the first letter of the title to form an acronym. With the new icon options, you can choose common open/close icons to create a classic accordion style menu, or select the number option to display content in an ordered list.
Inline editing allows you to see exactly what you’re designing, no matter what device you’re on — desktop or smartphone.
SmartColor™ has been introduced for the Accordion screen to automatically pick a different color for each individual item based on your primary workspace color.
If you don't want to use smart color, don’t worry, you can change each individual button color to be whatever you like!
]]>
The SmartLayout™ flexible grid system gives you more control over how the screen is presented to your learners.
The grid system provides up to 6 columns — simply drag a slider to adjust the number of columns in your layout.
Click and drag between rows to increase the height of all rows to display larger images.
You can now choose to display a banner for each item allowing you to really showcase each item. To switch banners ON/OFF, click the advanced settings button and choose the display options menu.
You can also resize the banner height, by clicking and dragging the banner up or down.
Images added to the showcase screen items no longer need to be cropped. Just add an image, and it fills the allocated space. If you want to show the entire image, toggle the image fit option. This allows the image to be used for both the banner and the item card without compromising image quality.
Choose to display labels under each image, on hover, or none at all.
You can nest one list inside another by choosing the ‘Make sublist’ option from the context menu, or by clicking and dragging one item under another.
The Checklist screen now automatically picks a different color for each individual list item based on your primary workspace color. To set a new base color, just click the advanced settings button to reveal the settings menu.
If you don't want to use SmartColor™, you change each individual button color to be whatever you like!
You can now choose between 3 different icons styles; Check, Cross, or Number.
We will continue to roll out more of these improvements throughout the rest of the year so that we can provide our users with the best experience possible.

SmartColor™
Like the Wheel Screen, the Springy list now automatically picks a different color for each individual list item based on your primary workspace color. This means your springy list will always look good!
SmartColor™ even works when you add a background image. After you add a background image, you’ll notice that the buttons become semi-transparent to make it easier for learners to see the image, but when you click on each button, it becomes solid and displays the correct color.
Not interested in SmartColour™? You can now change each individual list button color to be whatever you like!
Reorder inline
Reorder springy list items by clicking and dragging, or by using the simple reorder feature from the advanced settings menu.
New text editor

Fit and fill image options

Apart from the fact that assignments now look amazing, we’ve made some changes to the way learners navigate through assignments, and added some additional functionality for trainers creating assignments.
The assignment description, now called ‘Overview’, has its own dedicated screen, providing learners with clear information on their status, when the assignment is due, and what the assignment is about.
Assignments are now more like quizzes and lessons where learners can navigate through each question from the sidebar navigation. Each question now has its own screen.
We’ve added a summary screen to provide learners more clarity around their next steps. The summary displays relevant information depending on where learners are at.
Scenarios include:
Pushing forward with our goal of developing inline editing for all our templates, we’ve tried to match the creation experience with how your learners experience taking the assignment. This helps trainers experience the assignment as the learner does, providing more context and helping them deliver a better experience for learners.
Following along with the changes made for learners, assignments include a dedicated overview screen. This is where the assignment description will appear, along with the ability to add a custom header color or image.
Adding questions is similar to the way you add quiz questions in the quiz module. Simply add questions from the sidebar and edit them using our inline text editor.
We know that many of you have used the text with image screen to embed content in the past and encourage you to transfer that content over.
Check out the Embed screen demo to see how you can use it inside your lessons.
Now you can embed and display PDFs, Word documents, and Spreadsheets into lessons screens to be displayed inline, or as a download link.
Simply click to reveal, and dismiss to go back.
We'll be adding this functionality to more screen types where needed, so contact us and let us know where you'd like this feature added next.
